The lag of this server is unbearable.
The constant disconnects are a pain.
Can we please start moving off to a new server that won't be such a pain in the tail?

There are plans to move to EsperNet (where SSS and other channels are), but the problem is the Java IRC client. I know a few people are looking into an alternative that will allow us to use a server we want.

You could download mIRC.

While an excellent idea, some people cannot simply download something to their computers (say, a work machine), but still wanna chat. Java clients require little to no downloading, as the client is stored somewhere else.
