Will FFXI accounts work on both a PS2 and PC?

I have a friend who is considering playing FFXI on both their PC and their PS2. Ok, they have the PC version now, but they wanna get a PS2 and play it there too. They currently only have a PS2 and a hard drive so now they will just need to buy a netowrk adapter and a copy of the game.

Ok, now if they buy a used version of the game for a PS2 will they be able to log in using their existing PC account(granted they won't be able to log into the same aacount on both at the same time)? So could they get away with buying a used copy of the game for super cheap snce they should not need the key code cause they will be using their PC login?

Yep they can access the account from a PC and visa versa. They also shouldn't need a new POL key as long as they remember their password.

Yes, I play on a PC usually, but I use a PS2 occasionaly.

The big prrroblem is the game is not sold on Disks for the PS2, but on the HD itself. Talk to Squnex itself, there must be a way to get the game for the PS2 without buying another HD.
