Can someone tell me the benefits about marriage? I've been searching all across the net and found out you can try and by items together at the AH...thats all I know.

For a Gamer, there are NO benifits to marage.

For a Role Player, there are many.

You each get a ring with your spouses name on it. Level 1, no stat boost. Pay for it and the bride gets the full Wedding set. Looks like Opaline, but level 20, Rare/EX.

Haha, I sometimes say that I'm going to level a male character to 40 so my friend can have a wedding :3

But I'm already engaged to his brother with my pretty kitty, so that would be... wrong...

Yes, of course that has also crossed my mind. A fascinating idea indeed - especially from male perspective (i.e. me). Oh, well....I'll think more about marriage if/when it becomes actual. I haven't exactly decided yet what kind of relationship would Yukira prefer/like.

Well yes and no.

You can buy the Oplaine set, which is not the wedding set. The wedding set is level 20 and Rare/EX.

When you hit 30 in a craft, you can get special crystals that let you sign your work. So it will not say wedding ring, but it will have the maker's name on it.

I can only dream the day that Ryu' will get married but seeing as how a lot of the male players on the game are homophobic I've had to resort to lieing. Sure it's wrong, but I need the RP! It never really last longs because my conscience starts up around the time it gets "serious" and I usually end up telling them. Why oh why did I have to choose a Mithra?! Why not an Elvaan!

Speak of the devil.....or something. As it happens I'm having kind of a situation forming up or so it began to seem like today.

I am staying sngle, I don't want to have a moogle judge tell me to divide up half my stuff in my Mog House when the marriage goes south.

Unfortunately SE doesnt allow same sex marriages, ive already looked it up. >.> being a manthra myself, i'm "engaged" to another mithra..but basically i would need to create a new male character to be legally married game wise.


damn SE and making only Female mithra...they need to come out with males soon...

I'm marrying an Elvaan but I do have my mithra "wifey". I'm girl but I still think mithras should be allowed to marry mithras!

Like I said you can still get married. You can synth the dresses and rrrings and make your own ceremony.

Square accidently cornered themselves. That means if Mithra and Galka -ever- want to marry, they either have to practice homosexuality or beastiality. And come on, you can't tell me that Mithra and any other race in the game -isn't- beastiality. They're different races. If there's any other requirement, I've not heard of it.

Oooh, just realized something. So as not to offend people, they've made a moderately illegal thing (Homosexuality) banned, and have forced a completely illegal thing. (Inter-species marrige)

There is a NPC couple in bastock, i think it is an Elvaan Male and Hume female that are a couple and they talk about how scandoulous their relationship is.

The mithrrra chieftaness has the hots for a male hume.

If I was a Galka, I'd just walk around saying I was having asexual relations all the time. Hey look, I'm doing it now!

You're skipping over the world of furry. It's a big jump to beastiality, and as a furry, I'm a bit upset that Mithran sex would be considered beastiality. One is consensual, and one is taking advantage of an animal. Beastiality is rape. -.-

As for same-sex marriage, what is the Japanese stand on it? Remember, we're not dealing with the movement in America to allow it. The rules are based on Japan and their culture. ^^
