Just curious to know what the geographical make up of this place is. Where's everyone from? Posting something unknown about the city you live in.

I live in Tucson, Arizona.

A little known Tucson fact...

Tucson has the world's largest gem show in the world every year. I was there last year for three days and didn't get to see all of it. Most of it's open to the public, but there are also large parts of it that are only open to gemologists and jewelers, where they handle real diamonds and other gems. This gem show takes up about 1/4 of the city's space and spans about 20 miles from end to end. It's really quite something.

I suffer in San Antonio, Texas. I'm originally from Colorado and I miss it more than anything. I'd give my first born just to go back.

Hey, now. I've got family in San Antonio (well, the nice northern more rural part of it -- they own a ranch). Texas really can't be all that bad.

Okay, it can. *cough*ElPaso*cough*

Heh.

Arizona's not much better.

You should both move out to Arizona. It's a dry heat and no one will bother you way out in the boonies. Except for the crazy people who live out in the boondocks.

I hail all the way from the east coast in Maryland. I don't live that far from Washington D.C. actually. If I told you what town I lived in you wouldn't have ever heard of it. I live in the middle of nowhere.

La Plata, Maryland, East and south of DC? Well outside the beltway in any event. Not Prince George county, Ann Arundwhatever County I believe. Nice one, made me think. But I think WAY too much for a Mithra.

As well as going to shcool there, I was a courier in D. C. several times in the '60s and early 70s.

Is there anything rural still inside the Beltway? Or is it all developements and malls now?

Hmm, been a while since I've driven down that way. I think you're only about 30-45 minutes away from me.

*tacks up another for the list of Mithra Marylanders*

I'm from a small town on Long Island called Miller Place, NY.

Our high school holds the Guiness Book record for the longest winning streak in any high school, collegiate, or professional sport. We're currently somewhere between 500-600 consecutives wins in badminton meets.

/check Userinfo.

I'm not exactly from Poughkeepsie, but I'm close enough.

Right down the road in Fishkill. It's where everyone who commutes to NYC for work lives. Try taking the Metro North 6am express, it's barely standing room only.
