I'm not exactly from Poughkeepsie, but I'm close enough.
Right down the road in Fishkill. It's where everyone who commutes to NYC for work lives. Try taking the Metro North 6am express, it's barely standing room only.
OMG....I'm from Brewster, NY :0
I know where you are =P
I don't live there anymore though...I'm in Dayton, OH now.

Robot foot? Never heard that one before . . . I've heard frying pan . . . but never a robot foot . . . sure why not.

Your the best Pyr.. I needed a chuckle.
It boggles my mind how a majority of people don't know where states are or countries in the world. I guess my spongey memory wasn't wringed out after all those geography lessons. When I lived in Texas and said I came from Rhode Island, they didn't know where that was.. they thought I lived in NY on Long Island. Sure they can remember a place that isn't even a state. but not a place that actually is.

I'm a GA girlie myself. We're in a little town about 30 minutes from Atlanta (when the traffic isn't a horrible, horrible snarl)...Douglasvile. (Longer if the traffic is a mess, of course)

I'm from a small town in New Jersey. The town has a mutual division - there's a North side and a South side. The people on the North side are wealthier snobs who are really nasty. The South side (where I live) is better. ^_^ We may not be richer snobs like them, but we're nicer and we live within walking distance of our overcrowded downtown.
Hehe the rivalry is pretty funny, actually.

I'm from Houston, Texas. ive lived there most my lif but my dad got a new job station thingy. so we moved to caracASS venezuela. this place sucks, i beg to not come here. our leader of the governement is insane and is in love with castro. RUN AWAY!!! yea caracas is pretty beutiful despite all the crapy houses enourmous building vandalism and so on and it stays 70-85 all year but it sucks for me cause i enjoy the cold weather
That is so cool that you live in Venezuela! I had a Spanish teacher a few years ago who actually took part in the government protests there during the mid-late 1990s. She was the most awesome language teacher ever.
I've got some family in Houston since my dad's from Texas. We have a southern half to our family, and a Yankee half to our family (Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, etc. on my dad's side and New York, New Jersey, etc. on my mom's side).
Nope, Nivez, here's another. I was born in Ft. Walton, FL but was mostly raised in Mobile, AL with a bit in Thomasville, GA.
Buuuuut, now I'm trapped in Oklahoma. Eehh, it's been around three years now, with another four in the future. But it helps that my fiance, now husband, finally moved here with me and there's a baby on the way. ^^ That should keep me busy for the next four years so I don't go insane.

A very good question and the answer is... we have no idea. Hopefully we'll be able to figure out somewhere.
My husband is from Idaho, the robot foot state, and I'm from Florida... but neither of us want to move back to either, soooo... probably wherever we get nice jobs since we're both finishing up college here.

I know I really miss Florida, but it is Sooooo crowded down there now I just couldn't move back after how few people are in Oklahoma.
And I don't think I could live in Colorado. I freeze here in Oklahoma in the winter as it is. Got down to 5 degrees last night. Waaaay too cold. I just can't handle it well. Which my husband finds amusing, him 'n his "Idaho winters" Bleh.

Having been partialy raised in Flordia, and having had some college there as well, I will say that other than the arcitectrual distaster area that the Southeast Coast has become, the only thing realy wrong with that state is Summer.
And Summer there is nine months long.
I would sugest looking into the Pacific Northwest. Here, west of the Cascade Mountan range we enjoy the most temprate climate in the country. A summer with six days over 100 degrees F would break Seattle's record and tie Portland's. Summer daytime tempuratures average in the low 80s with humidity in the 60s. Winters we have fewer days below freezing than OK has below zero F. Some winters it never freezes at all.
If you must have sun, stay away. 1000 hours of sunshine a year. Compare this to the East coast cities at 16 - 1800 hours, or AZ at 2200 hours. It never realy rains here, but it does drizzle for days on end in the wet season, about 8 months long.

Arizona's summer lasts from....well, March to October just about. Sadly, I am not joking. The 100+ temperatures don't really start until May or June, but they can last into October. I hate that.
