Release date of the continuation of the Treasures of Aht Urh

We would like to make an announcement regarding the release date of the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline and the Chocobo Raising which are planned to be postponed from the Tuesday, 25th of July 2006 version update.

Chocobo raising and the continuation of the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline have been excluded from the July 24, 2006 version update. These features will become available according to the schedule below:

Continuation of the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline: Aug. 2, 2006
Chocobo Raising: Aug. 22, 2006

More details will be announced when they become available.

Personally, I'm more excited about the new merit spells/abilities and the AF for the new jobs then I am about choco-breeding or the next part of the story line and at least we'll still get them before the next version update in October.

I'm not worried, that will come.

For now there will still be assault and besieged.
It took SE more then a year to fully complete CoP as well and they are still developing on that as well.

As for the Merits, I'm really looking out for that.

My friend cancelled his account earlier this month and I was hoping he'd get to see at least the beginning of chocobo raising considering, he said, it was originally supposed to be released LAST month, but now it's going to be released at the end of NEXT month?? He was reconsidering cancelling but I think he's definitely going to quit now. :cry:

Also, when I read the original announcement back in, what was it, April or May?, I thought to myself "great timing, I'll have the entire summer to explore the world of chocobo breeding and racing!" yeah... right... it's gone from "entire summer" to "a week before classes." That's just plain ridiculous.

However, if they made it wonderful, I'll forgive them. :P

Not to mention a months worth of "emergency" maintenances at least 3 times a week, oh yeah that was in another thread too :lol:

Edit: Oh just read on the site, new AF is in this patch yay! I couldn't give two s**ts about the extended story line but the chocobo thing is a major annoyance.

I am excited to see what the new jobs get AF wise.

Maybe PUP gets AF that makes them SOMEWHAT useful?

Meh, I guess SE figures DRG is a weak WAR with a pet so they should have a weak Monk with a pet. Ya know, so Monks don't feel left out.

At least DRG serves a purpose in a party, pre-75 and uber godly gear their overall damage is on par with any other job. They can open Distortion from the second they get WS and Light at 65, they can shed a 1000+ Light hate in a second... what can PUP do besides look silly?

All new AF looks pretty good on the whole, PUP also get new attachments which hopefully make their stupid automaton less stupid.

Pup AF is somewhat useful, as well as all the new toys they get to toss onto the puppet

But will they still suck? Regardless of which unless they can throw out a 1000+ WS I think lolPUP will always remain.
