Wow, this seems like a good way to make money. For tree cuttings/saplings do you wait 1 RL week to feed crystals or 1 ingame week?

Waef, try planting something else first. Anything else.

The plants tell you when they want to be fed.

The whole thing, Cuttings to Saplings to Ore takes 6 - 9 weeks Real Time.

I garden for Ore, my methodoligy is a bit different than the above post, and I make good Gil. But once I met a Taru who made his living off gardening for Millioncorn. Not a Glamor Crop like Elemental Ore, BUT... it uses the cheapest seeds around, Grain. Only 3 - 4 days to harvest. And corn just flys out of the AH every Full and New moon.

I have yet to find a way to grow Light Ore.

I've grown Light ore on one occasion. Planted on Lightsday (New moon), fed Light crystal on Darksday (waxing gibbous), and Light crystal on again on Darksday (Waxing Gibbous) Harvested on Lightsday, (New moon). I had planned this harvest for weeks, hoping for that exact timing.

Also, as for the millioncorn thing, Imagine being able to churn out Insect balls so fast, that your 4 mule's with GobbieBag IV couldn't hold 'em all (by the way, I'm definately not referring to myself here.)

Okay, I'm kind of poor now, but hopefully I can do some BCNM40s and get some gil to try out farming. Also, if you don't give tree cuttings crystals, is there a 100% chance that they will turn into saplings?

I've only tried to grow ore once so I'm 1/1, but the general thing I guess is feed on the day it's weak to, and harvest on the same day of the element.

150% on average. You WILL get one or two Saplings. I usually plant on Darkday Waxing Gibbous, harvest on Lightday Waxing Gibbous and get about a 180% return. Once I harvested 6 cuttings on a Waining phase due to time presure, got only seven Saplings.

Hm, so if you have decent luck, you will usually get more saplings than the amount of cuttings you started with? Nice, but I think it would be faster just to farm the cuttings and sell those (over 100k/stack on Alexander).
