I've read somewhere it's Magic Accuracy+1 ~= Skill+3

Of course Skill adds potentency aswell as accuracy but that's a moot point for RDMs, I know I'd rather have my stuff stick for slightly shorter then resist more and last slightly longer when they do stick.

I've read lots of things with magic accuracy, and nothing to back it up. The main 'sage' in Valor thinks the stat is broken. It's better to use other equipment you know how it works (elemental skill/MAB).

Broken or not people have tested JSE (magic accuracy gear) against AF (skill gear) and have found quite a few less resists with the JSE so it must be a good thing (plus is looks cute on mithra :)).

In other news: COR65 + Hexagun = ARRRH!

Also my choco hatched! It's a girl :D I called her VioletSakura, she's so cute~ I'll get pics next time I visit her :)

:cry: :cry: Thats the prime item i want from dynamis still and prime item i would like to have b/c i'm an ele skill blm. I know i cant out dd a taru so i say be the lowest resisted blm. It shows when fighting gods. Last Kirin fight i had so much hate versus all the other big nuking blm it wasnt funny. Plus I wasnt nuking any more than the other blms it was simply my resist rate.

ANYWAY

Not much for me in game but I met my first semi celebrity. RUTHIE FROM REAL WORLD HAWAII. I was so excited but I dont know how to take the pics from cell to email atm. :P

I finally got my 3rd merit and unlocked Leviathan's new blood pact... :twisted: Now to hunt down innocent mobs to murder--- I mean... Now to play with it :angel: in besieged or something... :lol:

tried soloing Aquarius today but somehow lost all hate on him half way the fight so he ran back to his spawn point and regained full HP.

Can merit a weapon 6 times right? I've heard it goes: 1 2 3 3 3 3, so to get to level 5 from 0 you need 12 merits.

My merit list is much simpler:

Polearm capped (12 merits)
Critical hit % Lv.3 (3 merits)
Deep Breathing Lv.1 (3 merit)
Strafe Lv.1 (3 merit)
Paralyze II (3 merit)
Slow II (3 merit)
Dia III (3 merit)
Bio III (3 merit)
Blind II (3 merit)
Phalanx II (3 merit)
...
39 merits in total, after that I don't know what I'll do, quite possibily cap critical hits then work on Enfeebling Magic and elemental accuracies, lower recast of High Jump perhaps~ it's all in the air atm.

Yeah, I was guessing at some of these while making the list. Like -enmity, I can't actually have 5 levels of it if I want critical hit level 5. I'm working on the revised list. :)

8 levels so a total of +16 skill then? Add an extra two 3s to the list and an extra 6 merits to mine :lol:

Not much happened for me. 1/3 on Assaults yesterday, Ilrusi Atoll and Periqia really suck :( we got lucky on the 2nd attempt of the mimic one and found the chest right away.

Are you actually going to get an HQ light staff? I thought about it, but decided against it, since even with Carbuncle mitts, you can't lower Carbuncle's perp cost below 1 anyway. It's the only NQ I have now... so it irks me a little to still have NQ :)

I have an HQ light staff (was the 1st HQ I got)... so, with that plus Carbie mitts plus my yinyang robe, I actually get MP back while running around with Carbie out. :D

Right, I get 1mp back, but a summoner with a YYR has 2mp/tick refresh. 1 to pay for carbuncle and 1 to refresh. I've tested this with Golddess' HQ staff, and couldn't get 2mp/tick back.

:lol: go carby! Silly turban useful for PLD? It's not that great for me unless I kit out with a Haste build (Dusk and Homan) and I don't see me getting those anytime soon :?

Did I mention I got COR67? I don't remember :D

I also managed to snag a Fowling Earring for 700K, glad I managed to get it at that price since someone trying to sell it for more (greedy bastard). Just need a 2nd Woodsman (replace Venerer's) and an Assault Earring and that'll be all the (purchasable) Accuracy I can muster.

White Mage 59 thanks to two awesome ToAU parties!

Also got 1500 Imperial Standing from the parties so I'm happy.

4K to 60 and I'll look for a group today. Nearly broke because ever since I got my AF all I've done is level White Mage because, well, I wanna wear my full AF. As soon as the party that gets me to 60 breaks I am gonna take a break to level subs, level cooking, and start saving up for my Noble's Tunic, Faerie Hairpin, and Blessed pieces.

Last time I checked the AH all I needed was 7.5 mil and I have...70K, a button, and some lint.... :shock:

Yes, I'll be going for the HQ light staff as well.
NQ Light + YY + Carby mitts is indeed 1MP/tick regain.
I don't need HQ for that, however I have been playing around with spirits as well and an extra -1 for Light spirit is really sweet.

Next to that, for whm.
HQ light staff decreases the chance of a penalty you get for Darksday/Dark weather. (Dynamis/Limbus) and increases the chance for the bonus kicking in on Lightsday/Light weather.

Actually, yeah, if ya take a look at the gear I'm using, you'll notice it fits in rather well. ^^; Haste+ is very handy, as well as the HP/MP+30 (works great while soloing). Considering that I do use my GS (Spinning Slash works very nicely as a good Light SC move compared to Savage Blade) 5% knocked off of the GS delay is great. It also helps to counter the Slow+4% on my Hecatomb boots I've got on in the pic there. If I need to build TP faster, I switch to my Crimson boots as well. I'm planning on acquiring more Haste+ gear when I can, but atm, that one was rather cheap (comparitively) and all I'm losing is my O-hat, so I'm not really sacrificing damage for that Haste. ^^

Euw you use Hecatomb for TP building :? 5% Haste won't get you an extra hit on standard exp mob, might be worthwhile if you were dual wielding... forgot about the HP and MP, that'll certainly be useful to you.

I still need smelly Hecatomb for WS but I hate Sky and gods with a passion, not sure if I'll ever bother with it.

STR+35 has it's uses. I hit 2/3 as hard as a DRK75 with scythe, and twice as fast, even with my Hecatombs on. 4% added onto a Sword's delay isn't much. ^^; I've yet to use my GS in an exp pt tho, and not sure if I ever will to be honest. The skill different is just too great IMO (276 sword, 227 GS).

I got my WHM to 60 in a party where I was repeatedly called an exp leech because I had to exhaust my MP keeping the PLD alive and never got around to Hasting the melee's and required a lot of healing :x

So now that WHM is 60 I am leveling BST as a break.
