Some pagans here in the pacific NW have devised a spell to apease the Rain Gods and banish that strange blazing orb that sometimes appears in the daytime.

The only problem is that it requires the sacrifice of a blond California virgin, and they are on the Endangered Speices List. :(

Man I went to college in NW PA just outside of Erie that is the coldest place I have ever been. In the winter the wind comes off the lake through Erie and down into the valley where my college was, so instead of being 0 it was -15 and winters seem to go on and on. On last day of classes, May 12, it was 25 degrees and we got 5 inches of snow. When I flew back to NJ my parents thought I was nuts cause I was bundled up and it was 78 there.

Its not the only thing we do. I've been deployed more for humanitarian reasons then for combat.

Freedom isnt Free, someone has to pay the price. And its worth the cost.

I was born in Orange County, California.. (NOT 'The OC', just 'OC'). I grew up behind the Orange Curtain.

I now live in Sweet Home San Diego. Home of the most consistent climate on the face of the earth.

What's the weather? 74F/22C and sunny. all the time.

I'm from Russia. Not from a huge city like Moscow or anything, but still 500,000 people. It's in the Urals, called Magnitogorsk. I'm currently studying English at the institute in town. I'll post a picture if you want proof...people tell me I don't look anything but Russian...lol.

Well Im from South Central Los Angeles, Ca. (west side baby!!!) and I stayed there until I joined the army when I was 19. Since then I didnt get to travel much, Missouri, San antonio, TX, then augusta Ga where i am now stuck. I got out the army and I am now an army wife. My husband is serving his country in Afganistan....and I'll tell you now...freedom costs alot. We are spending alot to make it happen in afghanistan. No political responses please. Just know freedom is a right that we as Americans are lucky to have and if you ever see somebody taking it for granted slap them for me. In the name of my husband and our family.

Idaho has actual weather, unlike Western WA and OR, which have climate, but little weather. Nice summers, cold snowy winters.

Five seasons to the year. Spring, Summer, Fall (With leaves that turn real colors), Winter, Breakup. Breakup is the season when the Ice on the rivers melts, lasts 1 - 2 weeks, a crazy time traditionaly. Lower humidity than the Northeast.

That sounds really nice. Like around Chicago we get freezing winter, and hot summers. Spring isn't really noteable at all, as it's mostly just snow/nice melting. Autumn is basically like summer here. It keeps up the wonderful temperature until around November. Then it gets really cold. I'm used to that cycle, and I'm really depressed by the that.
I was also thinking of moving to Virgina, or Seattle. I know it rains alot in Seattle, and I like alot of rain so that's no problem for me. Any weather that I might have to prepare myself for if I move to one of those Seattle, or Virginia?

Ummmm... Where in VA? The DC suburbs share the ghastly D. C. summers, western VA and the Blue Rige area is a lot like... well West VA, the coast is a whole different climate, kinda the same one as the coast from southern NJ down to the Corlolinas, and southern VA I don't know at all.

I have said this before. It hardly EVER rains in Seattle, but it can drizzle for weeks straight. The Chamber of Commerce loves to use our anual rainfall stats, 50 - 56" a year compaired to 70 - 80" for the big East Coast cities. The stat they NEVER quote, and our bad news climate wise: 1,000 hours of sunshine a year. Those same big East Coast cities get 1,600 - 1,800 hrs/yr, and sun spots like Tuscon AZ and Las Cruces NM get 2,300 - 2,400 hrs/yr.

Thanks for clearing up the raining in Seattle for me. I really would have disliked being misinformed like that for much longer.
I don't know where in Virginia yet. Probably around the Virgina tech. college where I might be attending soon.
