Why would Rouge armlets +1 be level 74? and it only has one more defence, and got rid of the ice resistance.

Notice the bonus damage to Trick Attack, that's not on the normal quality one.

I get the feeling Katina may have gotten these pictures from elsewhere, and as thus she does not have that theme.
In the end, I'm just talking out of my ass. So take it all with a grain of salt.

I was hoping that the +1 gear would turn out to be gear with slightly better stats, but for the same level...rather than compete against AFv2 as far as stats but look exactly like regular AF. :(

This might be for people who can't seem to get into the more successful Dyanmis LSes or whatever. Since last I checked Sea access doesn't require doing Dynamis runs. And I've heard a lot of horror stories about Dynamis wipes, so ehhh...yeah. ^^;

Sea access does require that you finish quite some chapters in the CoP storyline. (Chapter 7 ot 8 I belive)
Which is quite difficult by itself, just see how many people are still stuck at the promies. And that's only chapter 1.
And if you think the promies are hard to beat...
On the other side the AF+1 is nice gear to have but it just takes more inventory space imo since the Armour NPC's don't take +1....
Next to that, /ex items can't be muled... bye bye precious space.
(I use about 30 inventory slots already for gear, and that will be a lot more as I get more endgame gear together to macro with actions. and my mog and mules are already filled up with lower lvl gear)

As for horror stories about Dynamis,
Dynamis isn't hard at all if everyone knows what their job is in there.
But yes, only one mistake can wipe out your entire LS.

+1 AF.... is just something SE want you to waste more time to play this game and CoP missions.

I hope they have NPC to store AF+1 ... and AFII now I am running out of space for all those rare/ex god equip, cursed equip, AFII..... R/E weapons and other stuff...

got sea about a week ago, it is beautiful there. used to think Mission and Z missions are pain the the butt to do, but now I really hate CoP missions. now on 8-3, going to finish CoP this comming weekend.

I do agree with the AF+1 kinda been no point to it. some stats are nice to have, but for the trouble of getting them (need get sea first, and get all the other items for it) I don't think I'd bother with it. Most of the AFII are better anyway.

I just checked out the list of the new items that were in the recent update. Why is it everytime they make a new update or anything they always come out with nothing but new crap for the high lvl's? They came out with some stuff for the lower lvls and mid lvls but its all crap. At least imo but what do I know? I only been playing since Oct of the NA release on PC....

af+1 does sound sweet. reason i think is that while it competes for end game with alot of other items, many pieces of regular af are still useful even at lvl 75, or are blatently better than their af2 components, its gonna be nice to have updated af1 so that you can flip between the two and crafted/rare ex items for the best setup.

(two good examples of this are valor surcoat vs gallant surcoat, and clerics mitts vs healers mitts, the af1 blatently has better stats, now with +1 versions these are going to become very very useful, along with alot of other af1... god i need sea now ><;)

Be the first in your LS to collect the whole set!!

Oh!! Wait!! There is ANOTHER whole set to collect!!

Now seeing as one can redo the AF quests if one no longer has AF in her posession, does that mean that having AF and AF +1 is possible??

Hmmm....well there wouldnt be much point to it, but it might be possible seeing as how the +1 and the regular are TECHNICALLY different items...

I have all of it already..... >.> Nah, not really. ffxi.somepage.com has a fairly detailed and exact listing of all the new equipment.

Edit: More specificly (Because I was too lazy to do it earlier), you can find them here. So far, there is nothing showing the possibility of upgrading one's AF weapon....but we really don't need one, what with the Relic Weapons.
