Lorien Trust is the first LARP I've done that even allows children to be on-site. And believe me, after a weekend with kids chasing you about shouting "give us your money!!!" you begin to miss the days when the youngest person in attendance was 14. Don't get me wrong, I like kids - I'm even working in a school ATM - but give them a costume and some latex weapons, and they can be absolute hell.

Yea...I've never LARPed before, but it looks kinda fun. I'd dress up in the DRG AF

maybe I'd even be a manthra... {Hmmm.}

Also, I know most of you know but it seems like a few of you dont, those costumes they were wearing are mass-produced and sold at cons, mainly in Japan. Especially mithra RSE and the ears/tail are especially common. I have yet to see a FFXI cosplay site that didnt have a few RSE kitties in it. Plus sides: dont have to do it yourself, looks more professional (I want that drg AF ^.^) down sides: gotta pay all your moneys for it, dont get that "I did it all by myself" feeling.

Despite my sewing skills, some of my personal favorites are those scavenged from Val Village and garage sales where not a single stich is mine.

Did an early Sandman and Death once. About $5 for the clothing, $25 for makeup. Borrowed the Gas Mask.

But you cannot get Anime or most game costumes that way. /sigh

meh.... I saw better at the tokyo game show. I'm not talking about my pic I posted either. I swear I saw a living Shirai. I was blown away far beyond the pics here. Those cos players have some serious fun.

Says the person who switches claims on gender every couple weeks? Says the person who has played countless hours as a fictional character on an MMORPG? Yugi, what is different from them dressing up to have fun and you logging in to FFXI to have fun? Judging by their quality, I'm assuming some level of professionality from them. They may even be making money from that. Where as you pay monthly. ^.^;
