I haven't played since beta ended! 
I've kept up with stuff through the main site and here, but I've never really been much of a forum user.
When the Sony promotion site opened up I spent a ridiculous ammount of time listining to the music. I need a FFXI fix bad.

For some reason I feel as if I am not going to see my HDD soon. I havent heard peep from Sony or Square-Enix. I have a feeling that I will get my game 2 weeks after its release.....

Tigara (who might not be joining us on midgard) thought they were shipped yesterday. Rha from SSS thought the e-mails would go out tomorrow. Lots of rumors are flying! I'll just have to wait until my bro, Shadowcat, goes YAWWWWP! then I know our HDD is coming. (He's the one that will get the e-mail, he got both betas remember? And let me use the extra id...)
Anyway, wish me luck! One temp agency practically said they might call me for a job Monday. If it happens..I'll see ya when our hdd comes!

They dont have me in the computer meaning they think I didnt return my HDD. Luckly I kept my return receipt which shows it got there the 23 of Oct at 10:30 San Jose CA. The rep said his manager will "look in to it" and well call me in a few days

Anyway, hopefully ours will come by Friday. Me and Shadowcat AKA. Shadowneko just managed to earn enough money doing some yard work to keep us going for quite some time. (We earned $50 a piece, even after tithing that should keep us going for quite some time. Let's hope I actually get a job soon..)
Jon/Shadowcat emailed Sony today, we should get our tracking number soon (if zee package doesn't sneak up behind us and POUNCE on us!)
Also, Shadowcat thinks we'll get it by Monday (IF we're unlucky) or by this Friday (if we're lucky)
And congrats, Canti! See you in game when we get it! (I'm makin' a trip to the bank to get out two five dollar bills for the tithing and deposit the money. Gotta have it in my account so I can use my check card...)

Ek, I hope that doesn't happen to us.
Anyway, the UPS man doesn't usually show up around here until ten AM EST at the earliest (5 PM EST at the latest), so just got a few more hours to wait. If it happens to us though (we just got a new Linksys router, frag it!) it'll be time to call tech support again. Hopefully we won't get that problem...after all, the beta worked nice and sweetly in our (gotten just before FFX) PS2.

Well, if your lucky, you won't need to deal with the 0010 error if your kit arrives late. The problem appears to be that there are so many people trying to download the patch.
I managed to kill the 0010 beast by sneaking up on it at 3:00 A.M.
Just keep trying to get the patch, don't give up on it.

Thanks for the hint, Canti! I'll tell Shadowcat (he wanted to create the first chara after all)
Anyway, it's here...we got the hdd installed, it's just waiting for the right moment for me and Shadowcat to go at it. Came later than I expected (it was after 6:00, and it was while my gran was over for her b-day dinner. Didn't even SEE the UPS guy, he just dumped it at our door and ran!)
We're gonna wait until either 1. They go to get Laura (she takes for bloody ever!) or 2. My parents go to bed or 3. Wait until tomorrow. We'll do whatever comes first. I'll make sure I get that money in the bank tomorrow (Mom and Dad were all of a flutter about Grandma today, who is pretty much nuts...neat freak, wanted a weird dinner, screams and screams if things aren't to her liking, you know...--so I didn't get to the bank. I'll WALK there tomorrow if I have to!)

I hope that I have mine by tomorrow that I will have also recieved my HDD. I sent an email asking for the tracking number and instead the bozos sent me an email sayin that it has been sent....

Well, we licked that error if there was one by gettin' on late.
Shadowcat created his first (Shadowneko ,yep yep. If you guys wanna roleplay in game, since he's a hume (again --he just can't STAND playing a girl)) let's just say "Shadowneko" and "Elizara" are adopted siblings. (Hey, we're related by blood in rl but...game wise, that's the best way to put it, for if it was even possible for us to meet in game, I'd still say "hey bro" and hug him, hume or not)) (And if anyone's near Bostok and could help him get to level 15...he'll be VERY appreciatave) Then I got on, created my chara, grabbed a linksack list that I'd made...went down the list, the third person I sent a /tell to was Swipe (she was on, the others weren't on!)
I ended up stayin' up all night leveling after Shadowcat finished playing around and getting to level 3 (thanks again Mika for the help!)
We'll be trading off, so if you don't see me on, either 1. I got RL stuff to do(job hunting, chores, whatever). or 2. Shadowneko's on. Dad didn't know what we were up to until he caught me, but we've pretty much worked it out. (There's gonna be a list kinda of rl stuff that needs doing, and Dad's agreed on a five minute warning if he has to get the one who is playing off in a hurry--give us a chance to at least get where stuff doesn't aggro before the player logs. I still remember one nightmare in beta when Mom stole a connector in the crossover cable we were using at the time while I was in a gob infested tower doing a mission..ugh. I logged back in later to dead chara)
Also, soon as I can get some armor that looks more like whm than the starter armor: Any of you PC players got Fraps and would be willing to take a few 'photographs' for me? I'm gonna have to get a new sig (My current one's made from a pic of my beta chara!) and I'd rather feed Malango some better qual pics than what the ingame screenshotter can do.(Besides, the only way you can get a pic of your own chara's face is to play with the camera first...not that that's hard, but...you usually don't think about it when you take a screeny)
