Questions about the Odin server move!

Hey guys, newcomer here! I had a question for everyone. I've wanted to join MP for a while, but the problem was always that I had already started a character I liked on the Odin server. Fortunately, the free server transfer kinda nips that in the bud. ^^

So, I was wondering if MP was still active in FFXI, since the forums are sort of sleepy. o.o Also, what servers are you guys most active on? I figured Midgardsormr was a good bet, but I'm open to suggestions.

Mostly looking to hang with the understanding and friendly people, since uh, the rumors about Odin being unpleasant are unfortunately quite true. ;_; Plus, yeah, I love Mithra and would never play anything else and would love to be with a community of like-minded. ^^

There have been several attempts to start a MP on Garuda, but none have ever taken root.

Last I heard the MP on Midgardsormr was defunct. I could be wrong.

Haha, I actually had a creeping feeling under my skin that Midgard wasn't really a place for it, thus the asking.. ^^;

Is MP alive and kicking in general, or is it pretty much disbanded? o.o

As you can see, we are. MP is like a multi-server FFXI community hangout for kittehs. If you want to attempt another kitty-only shell, you can try. However, I don't think it'd be possible in FFXI right now. With the ever-growing amount of 75s and their desire for HNMs.

This right here is pretty much what killed the MP on Alexander. Too many people got to 75 and got into end-game. End-game pretty much doesn't leave ya much of a "social" timing, since most of the time you would normally spend in your social shell you end up spending at events. ^^;

There've been a few attempts to kick start MP on Remora (twice by Nimonie) but the desire for shiney armor/weapons draws us kittehs to the endgame shells too much here too.

Btw if you are looking for a fairly friendly helpful ls on odin, the one I am in seems pretty decent thus far.

Leviathan suffered a similar fate~ I was in the MP shell but got all wrapped up in events to spend too much time in there.
I did try to organize events for the kittens, but that was kind of difficult.
At some point the shell holder of MithraPride on Leviathan broke it & I don't know if it was because she quit or because of end-game.

If you end up on Leviathan, look me up.
