Cant log on questions

Um yea for some odd reason i cant log on. I checked my router and my ehternet cord and they r all fine. So i went to see if my internet still worked on regular cpu and it did.

However whenever i try to log onto playonline with my ps2 it says some dchp or w/e does not respond. My question is is it because i changed my billing info to my credit card and not stay on my moms?

This is the only thing I think could be the problem and if so what do i do.

mmmm try resetting your modem and router, then delet the connection info on your PS2 and recreat it, that should work

I had that problem once,

I could normally log on then one day he wouldn't let me.
Contacted SE support and they told me I had to open some ports to my PC on my router.
It worked again after.
Since I am on a different connection now I don't know which ports anymore.
But SE technical webssupport can tell you which you need to open.

so did I, PlayOnline said maybe comcast didnt register my new modem.... bingo they were right hehe

a port scanner utility can tell you what ports it's trying to connect with.

If you use a port scanner or packet sniffer look for packets going to the following networks.

deny ip 64.37.148.0 0.0.0.255 any ! MAR-CERT 31 MAR 05 - Playstation Online

I once did a packet sniff test to check the SSL, there wasn't any...

Everything should be going over port 80 (default HTTP port) However some people have it proxied to 81-83 or 8080.
