Don't they all do that? That blarb no one ever bothers to read?
Are they so afraid of getting sued? Weird.

The RRoD led to a class action suit. They don't want another, I suspect more for the publicity than the payout.

Also, the big M will be hiring any arbitrators. So you know who will come out on top of any arbitration.

Oh snap, did not realise they were sued over the RRoD. Well they better hope the first batch of XBones aren't poorly made then

Not just sued, class action sued.

BIG difference as least as the lawyers (solicitors) payout is concerned.

Wait, so we can't hit them with a class action but a regular runofthemill suing is fine? :P

That means no suing at all.

At this point there is just a laundry list of reasons Not to buy the XB1. Oh I am sure it will sell as if nothing else the demographic of "Brogamers" just aren't bright enough to give a sh*t. However for anyone who actually has a shred of concern over their privacy, it should be a no sale. Sadly there will be plenty of uninformed customers who just can't be bothered to do a little research before purchasing. Traditionally I have mocked these idiots and called them sheep, while taking the stance of laughing at them getting screwed. Unfortunately their flagrant stupidity and complacency at this point is starting to impact me directly and as such I am finding myself less and less tolerant of this group. There is just really no fucking excuse for not being informed when chances are you have a smart phone and the internet right there in your hand. If you can't take a couple of minutes to research something before dropping half a grand, then honestly you deserve nothing but utter contempt.

The Ps4 appears to be reasonably consumer friendly. The camera is an option, the social media bs is optional, and it generally acts like my PS3. I do dislike the fact that PSN+ has gone the direction of Live in regards to MP, but I can acknowledge that at least PSN+ offers good value for the money. Unlike live where you pay $60 a year just for the "Privilege" of playing with friends. Of course I still won't subscribe myself as I basically never do MP on my consoles. The only thing I really cared about was the continued ability to use services like Netflix without premium service. PS4 does this, XB1 does not. Frankly I find it downright insulting that MS still puts a service that doesn't require their service in the least behind a paywall. I haven't pre-ordered the Ps4 and I doubt I will buy it this year. While I traditionally have Pre-ordered launch day consoles, I just find no meaningful reason to do so in this case. Should it prove that the Ps4 is a patently better Media center than the Ps3 or one of my PS3's go down, then I will probably pick up one then. However barring that, I will just wait until FFXV at a minimum is out, or 2 - 3 other titles I am interested in.

Seriously, why are you even here? Even if the XBone printed money you still wouldn't buy it, you had made up your mind before any details were released for any console.

The last console I bought (or rather, had someone else buy) was the Famicom / NES 64.

The fact that I somehow tend to end up in situations where all consoles are somehow available for my use is besides the point.

Regardless, it's going to be the games that decide this anyway. And Recettear won't be found on the XB1... a shame really, it'd make a great Arcade offering. Long live the Pussy Cat!

After losing my launch Xbox to RRoD, I decided not to buy launch hardware, unless I actually think I can make money selling it on eBay or something... which I've never actually done.

Of the current generation of consoles and handhelds, I bought all of them at launch. Only my PS3 is the same machine that I use today.
My Xbox 360 died. Replaced by Microsoft.
My Wii had minor problems from day one. Replaced by Nintendo.
My DS Lite broke one of the hinges. Replaced by Nintendo. Then that one was damaged in a car accident (as a passenger) and replaced by the insurance payout with a DSi XL.
My PSP 1000 is still around, but the battery is nearly non-existent. Replaced by a Crisis Core 2000 series from Japan.

I have a Vita (Assassin's Creed bundle), but no real use of it so far. Was dirt cheap on Black Friday ($180 for a $320 bundle)
I have a 3DS, but waited until the XL series came out.

After realizing how little my 3DS and Vita are used, I decided I need five games to warrant buying a machine. PS4 is at one, Wii U is at 4 (and Krissy is whining about getting one, too), so a Wii U might be in the cards, right after they drop the price. :)

Did we write down what those games were?

If we need to write down what the games are, we must not want them very badly.

Fair enough. There was that one game I wanted, but couldn't remember what it was called though.

You cheated, had to look them up before posting that. And I wanted the donkey kong game.

Also, the one I forgot was The Last of us.

I don't know how watching a Pokemon video is "looking it up!" I call shenanigans.

You did, just before posting, look at nintendo to see what the games were. The only one not on the site was Bayonetta.

So the one game I couldn't remember is the one that wasn't on the E3 site, yet I remembered it somehow? Uh huh... anyway, that's FOUR games and not FIVE, so... nyah.

I'm a Wii U owner, and I must say that the line up makes me very happy.
Aside from that, Nintendo seems to be the only company that seems to understand partygames.

Gawd don't get me started on Bayonetta 2  Release a highly sexualized violet game about brutally murdering angels on a "family console", all the REALLY?!! Honestly it might as well have stayed dead because this is sure to kill the franchise

that comes down to parents need to pay attention to what they buy children. it shouldn't be the consuls' responsibility.

I think you missed the point :P Why release a mature game for a "family console"? It's completely the wrong target market.
