I think I'm siding with Batsu on everything he's said so far. I first saw the RSE costume on Playonline when you read about the recent convention. It is a very nice costume, but it's all somewhat disturbing. I think that RSE is mass produced in Japan since I've seen it so much by now (which is what ...

My bad, I didn't read it. I don't blame you, Batsu. 11 pages of people chiming in their two cents is a little much. I don't remember if I read half of it, but I'm not going back to read it now. Maybe someone will compile it all and put up a poll of the best ones. Yeah... and maybe I'll solo my way ...

I believe Silver was looking for the wallpaper for a use other than his/her POL background. With the screenshot, it's pretty obvious Silver knows how to download the background. We are now trying to find the file(s) itself on the hard drive after you download them. If I'm mistaken somehow, I'm curio...

I guess the answer to your question is: wherever there are leeches you can kill easily, but the higher level the leeches are, the better. The rest is all luck. Buburimu is where I got my own as well as a friend's. There's three beaches full of leeches (technically two since two of them are connected...

I thought about it and I'd love to get in on this too if you can spare the time. Like the Red Mage above, my head is 5-A and would like to be in full AF. I like your style and what you did with your own, so I was thinking a translucent foreground shot: a close up head shot of my character, surprisin...

Looks like I started a bash-the-high-level-fest. Yes, there are a bunch of stuck up high levels out there, but I only run into them in parties since it's inevitable. All high levels I run into for a raise or some quest help end up being really nice. It's not like they demand payment for their servic...

Re: The Psychology of Final Fantasy
I completely understand this. It's especially bad for mages... you seldom hear someone demand, "Iron arrow! Now!" from a ranger, after all :P ... Of course, when Refresh wears off on me... I might be in the middle of something at the time... I could be preparing for a magic burst, for exa...

The Psychology of Final Fantasy
My last post made me want to post this new topic. I keep noticing, recently more than ever, that my abilities in doing a job (mostly RDM) fluctuate greatly from party to party. In some parties I'm doing my job to its utmost while in others I can barely get off a dispel when I need it. I had this dis...

You also have to take into concideration that the Japanese players have had more time to get their jobs to level 75. One of the main issues I always hear is that the japanese players are better than others and gain EXP faster. From all my time on Vana'diel, I can tell you that there is no difference...

Leveling Spots
That allakhazam guide left out a few mobs that parties often like to go for, though, like Pugils in the dunes. Only way to really find out where the best spots are is by partying there. My favorite places to go are the ones people would consider "non-standard." For that reason, you can nev...

hmph. beat that. Back on topic  , I think it REALLY DOESN't MATTER what your sub is, whatever makes you happy. I know a few THF/DRG's (sata jump), and a few THF/DRK ( { Souleater } + { Last Resort } + SATA { Dancing Edge } { Yes Please } ) Keep in mind there there is almost always a way to on...

Names
I once knew of a mithra named "Imaguy." Guess he had a problem with getting hit on.
I know an Anklebyter on Siren, too (Taru, of course). Great guy, but one of my favorites is still Psychodelicat.

New Territory!
Great snapshots! You made me want to look up the areas on playonline.com. If you haven't checked the new areas out, go to Square Enix's site:
http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/promathia/
Can't wait to get there myself, all I've really seen up close is Bibiki Bay. The areas look awesome.

Caged Mithra
I think they keep all the male mithra caged in an underground village, heavily guarded by warrior mithra where they are never to again see the light of day. >.< The location of the mithra city is a bigger secret than that of the goblin city Movalpolos (was). I hear there's a hidden entrance through ...

Re: !!Totally immature job jokes!!
In a section, "Why People Love Paladins" it says "They are useful as backup healers" as the first reason  For the ninja job it says, "Only a party that is light on healers will be reluctant to take in a Ninja." Seems to me, those are the parties that need...

Re: !!Totally immature job jokes!!
Sounds like you took the majority of this out of the Spring 2004 Official Strategy Guide (or some similar product), Neoshinobi. I remember some of these exact quotes out of the "Things A Party Never Wants to Hear a <job class> Say" section. Nice addition, but give credit where credit is due.

Time Budgeting
I always find something to occupy my time. If I am high level, forming a party in Jeuno, there is a lot of down time while finding members to fill the party. I recall one time I had a chance to begin my BRD quest and travel to Buburimu to get the quest half done before we were ready to go. If it's a...

Editing
I feel the need to edit and clearer state what I was getting at. Let me type this again: 1) You have accidentally referred to your close friends by their characters' name. 2) When you hit thirty you plan to start life over with an advanced job. -This one is referring to years of age. :P You can't st...

Top Ten
I've debated composing a Top Ten signs you play too much Final Fantasy myself. I guess it's ended up being a top fifty. I'll add a couple then: 1) You've referred to your close friends by their character's name. 2) When you hit 30, you plan to start life over with an advanced job. You can't stop the...
