Re: Guild Wars 2

2 instances of FFXI? (Didn't know it let you do that) It doesn't. It takes windower to do that. Most dual boxers do it that way. Someone on another forum runs three. .... Mainboard Oddest looking MB I have yet seen. I take it the shroud is for a built in dedicated MB cooling system.

Re: AKB0048

I did kinda guess that the anime was presenting the group pretty much as it is, just in an anime setting. Question, do they go into some of the more (to me at least) weird parts? Like the virginity pledge? Admittedly my current source for Japanese culture is sankaku complex which does have a certain...

Re: AKB0048

AKB48 is an idol group IRL. I believe the target audience is male otaku. That's who buys most of their CDs.

I won't go into anything about them here, but you can find all kinds of stuff about them on Sankaku complex.

I would think so too but it was first posted 2 - 4 days before the 1st.

Re: Spring Anime 2012 - Sugami watches all the things!!

No. Anime is the Japanese word for animation. Here in the west we use anime for animation from Japan vs. animation from studios we are long familiar with. (Hello Walt.) Thomas the Tank Engine is anime even if it is the cartoon we have known (and loved) for decades redubed in Japanese. Mind you I wou...

Re: Mind control

At the end of the clip the model looks at a guy, her ears perk up, she turns away and touches her (right?) temple. Her ears fold into the neutral position. So there is a manual override. At least one. Edit: If they are really good, I mean really really good, and I wink at someone, the ear on that si...

Three words: Joy. Of. Cooking. Invaluable reference work. 90% of the oils I use are olive oil and butter. The other 10% is peanut. I dislike canola and just don't use grape or the aromatics like walnut. OK, some chicken fat too, I admit. I used to keep things like goose grease and lamb fat around. T...

Best of luck.

All I know about Chicago eateries can probably be written on a matchbook. I had some Chicago native friends who used to bring pizzas back whenever they visited, but I can't remember the name of the place.

I fear we are not that active now, neither as a LS anywhere or as a board.

In any event, welcome. An admin will be along in a bit to open the board to you.

I occasionally see a few kitties in our XIV LS on Lindblum, but honestly I don't spend much time there.
