You can't pull the sword from the ground because you need ALL your physical stats (you know, the red ones) maxed. Not that great a sword anyway, but it might be useful for a little while (Around the point in game where you can max out your physical stats you can get a better sword anyway).

I see no problem with that. On the contrary, it is good that you can join linkshells that have restrictions like that, since it limits the number and most importantly the kind of people that join. I'd say that fully open linkshells are something I find very distasteful.

An interesting thing though; play Planescape Torment (for the PC) and RP the character like your RL counterpart.
