Nyzul seems to be about 1:3 for drops. Your 6:8 is way ahead of the norm.

Heh. The sizes aren't much of a comment on obesity. XXL is the only one that really shouts "fat". There aren't a lot of people that aren't obese that need that one.

XL = 6', 170lb man -- which isn't fat or all that rare.

XXL = 6'4, 230lb man. Not fat, but pretty damn rare.

I won't use 3rd party windower tool for 2 reasons.. #1 - It looks like absolute $h!t unless you leave it at that tiny box size it first opens up as. (I tried it @ the suggestion of my LS at the time when I got my laptop...) My laptop is nice & when I play FFXI full it looks great and I rarely g...

New Operating Systems are generally pretty buggy and not truly ripe for widespread use for at least 5 years after their initial release. Besides, this is Microsoft. If they can screw up, they will! The real problem with Vista is that a lot of new systems (especially laptops) don't support XP. They h...

LOL -- this was a dumb move by SE -- as if WAR needs any more bonuses. It already tanks more than fine at any level. You just need to gear it to tank. It won't matter what new JAs it has if people don't gear it for tanking. And what about the under 40 levels? People aren't going to delevel their WAR...

I seriously doubt it will be WAR; that makes zero sense at all considering their statement about wanting to add tanking to a job that people have NOT leveled. Everyone has WAR to 37. They seem to want to create more low level tanks. War only makes sense based on what the job can do now and the gener...

I miss the teamwork of the renkei days, but I do like the 25k/h you get in a nice spam party a lot more than the 6k/h a renkei group can do. Too bad renkei parties don't pay off more; renkei is one of the really unique things FFXI offers compared to other MMORPGs. The sollution to this is pretty si...

Usually I do pretty good at it -- typically under 5m left when we flag. Recently there's *always* been someone needing it, too. I far prefer the pure farm runs. You can toy with the shadows a bit and slay the entire yagudo level as well as all the goblins and quadav. We've never managed to slay all ...

Aww. We do the same thing in Glacier, though. Unless you have a ton of people needing the flag, you push the farm time to the very limit and then go slay Angra. We've had a few where we won with 60s to spare, which feels great on the farm v. flag efficiency scale. Missed a couple times, too --...

I did a great deal of grouping with DRG back in the renkei days when I was leveling my THF. DRG & THF work very well together for renkei. The other thing was that they were always easy to find when we needed another melee. I recall one time I made a group of 5 JP players and me (thf). I had invi...

I don't understand all the DRG hate that people heaped on that job. When it comes to XP and non-HNM stuff, DRG is just amazing and has been even before the 2H'er patch. They just don't fit into any strategy for HNM fights; no melee really fits into those fights, but DRG more than most due to their n...

What about resists? Gain TP, debuf, resist, gain TP, debuff, etc.. The hard fights require debuff on demand, at range, and with short delivery time, not "after you gain TP" or "after you perform 3 separate JAs". The concept is fine. The implementation is littered with potential l...

I have been saying for years now that the job of a tank is to HOLD HATE. From personal experience the WAR/MNK does this way better than the WAR/NIN, but my experience as WAR/MNK goes only to L 37 leveling my melee kitty's sub. After 35 I did have problems holding hate, but had no Enmity + gear. And...

I'd suggest finding a home before you move. Hunt around for a linkshell that sounds fun and that accepts cross-server apps. One thing to be aware of is that most folks view server transfers with at least a little suspicion. The supposition is that if someone can't get along with or make friends with...

IMHO, you're *far* better off without the THF/rng than you are with him. A THF that thinks acid bolts are the key to victory is just wasting his gil and your party slot. There is one critical component missing from your party line-up: a co-tank. Co-tank is absolutely essential. You can maybe squeak ...

What I think is funny is that some men play as Mithra because the male characters look gay in their job's AF1/2.

BTW, "Talladega Nights" is one of those movies that's needs a warning label: do not view while sober. Side-effects include lowered IQ, drooling, and praising Baby Jesus.
