Re: The big M backs down!

And I thought we yanks got the eating crow thing with our British heritage. Err... don't know the crow thing  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eating_crow Wiki says it's American  The 24hr thing and used games made some sense but eh. They needed some form of DRM for installing games without u...

Re: The big M backs down!

Would you like a serving of crow with that Mr. Mattrick? I don't get it  Well it's good to see that MS isn't completely stupid, sadly the one thing they can't back pedal on is the price, can blame the inclusion of stupid Kinect for that. Oh well, give it a year and we'll see if they're able to...

Re: Yet another reason to not buy the Xbox One

Seriously, why are you even here? Even if the XBone printed money you still wouldn't buy it, you had made up your mind before any details were released for any console.

Wait, so we can't hit them with a class action but a regular runofthemill suing is fine? :P

Oh snap, did not realise they were sued over the RRoD. Well they better hope the first batch of XBones aren't poorly made then

It looks like a cross between DMC and FF :P Again this was supposed to be the Versus game, wasn't X-2 pretty different from X? I never played those games though :P

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... whoa. Is that Mamoru Miyano?

Say good bye to menu based combat, I guess it's 'cause turned XIII-VS into this though :P

Numbered sequels are so 2000

Also somewhat "interesting" that it's Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and not Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns, guess they want to hammer home that point.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Anyone remember this? :P Still got some time before release, February 2014 for us westerners.

Why didn't they call it Final Fantasy XIII-3? :P

Re: Xbox One and used games

Hey, you know what other console has no backwards compatibility? PS3 (and yes I'm aware the first version did have it but it had to be removed to cut down on cost). 360's backwards compatibility was pretty limited to start with and slowly grew. Go toot your Sony horn elsewhere :P Honestly backwards ...

Doesn't bother me, I buy 99% of my games new as I support the companies that make them. There's a fetish for giants eating people? Re: 2013 Spring Anime Lineup

My friend's brother's cat is the worst house (or flat) cat ever. He hates interaction with people, happy to come up and sniff your hand or feet but try and pet him and he'll bolt. Re: 2013 Spring Anime Lineup

Oh Fractale, forgot about that one. Certainly was weird, had an interesting plot premise but damn did it get crazyballs later on. Gargantia I'd put in the A category personally, one of my favourites. Majestic Prince as well, maybe B+ but really enjoying it. Even ignoring the sequels there's quite a ...

Re: 2013 Spring Anime Lineup

The giant one? Bleh, hate watching an anime that doesn't have an ending, maybe it'll get a second season. That Valvrave the Vibrator... I mean, Liberate is... interesting. The plot strikes me as something fresh out of Gundam SEED (neutral power building uber mech in secret gets attacked by bad guys ...

2013 Spring Anime Lineup

http://www.animeph.com/spring-2013-new-anime-season-preview-list Lot of good sequels this season, I'll just highlight a few of the new ones that I find interesting. Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge - I don't know how to describe this one, it's interesting so I'll leave it at that :P DEVIL SURVIVOR 2 - Mig...

Unfortunately you don't get a lot from a first issue, it's a good way of suckering you in to buy more to complete the run. Anyway, the only good comics are the Deadpool ones :P

Re: Stephen Hawking disproves time travel

I always held that time was nature's way of making sure that everything didn't happen all at once. It doesn't always work though. At least that's how we perceive time, perhaps it all does happen at once but this is the only way we can make any sense of it? So in H. G. Wells' "The Time M...

Re: Stephen Hawking disproves time travel

 Well technically time is a man made construct to better explain events. Also cryogenics isn't really time travel, at least not in my book. http://youtu.be/elah3i_WiFI You know, I thought Hawking was smarter than this  As y'all probably know by now, time travel fascinates me so this kinda peaked my interest. I see quite a few things wrong with his approach. 1) I think the most obvious thing is it doesn't disprove anything, what if ...

Re: Winter Anime Lineup 2012-2013

Amnesia might not be the best shoujo title, might stay interesting enough to be watchable. Last season had a couple of great shoujo titles though, pretty sure I mentioned them in my last preview. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (The Monster Seated Next To Me) and Sukitte Ii Na Yo (Say "I Love You")...
