The very first time I tossed a little shihei powder into the air I realized what I, as a mithra, was born to do; to walk the silent path of the ninja. For me it will always be the path of stealth and illusions. No offense, but I still snicker at the idea of a NIN tank. Somehow, using provoke seems ...

Holy crap, Gwynn! That is AWESOME. :thumb: (OK, we need a little dancing cat emoticon) Anyway, I read that developer announcement yesterday, and it really made me excited. Also, check out the part about AH fees. People in the community (Allakhazam at least) are speculating that the AH fees will be a...

They make patches when the Japanese complain, but to this day, no North American petition has ever done anything to change Square's plans. Ever. This is reality, folks. We don't matter. North America has always been second-class to Square, and they've yet to change this view... :/ Maybe we are seco...

which could explain why GMs aren't doing jack about the problem (because their bosses, the executives, don't want them to.) This isn't really true for a couple of reasons. One was brought up by Prrsha (expensive items and ruined economies lead to players quitting). The other is that SE has (suppose...

I have a Mithran Scimitar (my husband used my character to kill the NM for it), and it's awesome. As for the pin/boots, I hear that they are pretty much required by the majority of exp parties later on (perhaps the 50s-60s?). I remember Ishe stressing over getting the pin because he couldn't get any...

Wow. And here's to things easing up on the servers (less competition for farming monsters, items, NMs, etc.). Now, if only the gil sellers would back off. Perhaps some of them will leave for greener pastures. Players will have less of a desire to push through FFXI, and thus be less inclined to buy g...

As hard as it may be, you may have to start over on a new server. You've already lost all your valuables. It's a shame you'd lose all your rank, levels, fame, etc. but maybe it would be worth the sacrifice to get away from that awful person. Clearly, s/he is persisting in harrassing you, which could...

Oh man, Allakhazam is bad but GameFAQs is a lot worse. Sometimes I lurk on GameFAQs's boards when I need a good laugh at sheer idiocy. I used to post fairly often on Alla, but lately I've gone from poster to lurker, and now I don't even read the forums that often, mostly because the threads are all ...

At least you don't have people training citadel bats, fallen majors, and revenants in the Eastern Altepa Desert. -_-; Good point. But yesterday someone trained a few Lost Souls (!!!) to the zone in Altepa. Where the heck did they drag those bones up? :? Nevertheless, it's a great place to party and...

In closing... it's best not to post religion or politics on boards that are not designed for them. You'll just start a flame fest. Yes, I agree. Let's keep politics off these boards. If an admin would lock this thread before it gets any bigger, it would be doing a great service. If you need to rant...

I've also heard that with the last version update, they've really made SATA suck with a double-handed weapon. That's just a rumor, I believe. It wasn't in the version update notes, and I'm still pulling off 500+-damage SA-Sturmwind/Keen Edge moves. I can't believe no one has mentioned the big reaso...

YES! VOTE! Thanks for posting that bit from the NY Times (which I read every day, and I recall seeing that piece). Some breeds of cats like siamese don't seem to effect people with allergies. Also you could check out some hairless breeds of cats like the sphinx. Hmm...I guess I could have my husband sit around a Siamese for a while to see if it makes him have an allergy fit. I don't know about the hairless bree...
